I withdrew almost 13,000 from my daughter's RESP in 2019. My daughter did not receive a T4A slip. How is this then entered in her tax form? Does my daughter declare the full sum on additional income - under I had income from an RESP?
CRA says "If you have to file a return for 2019, file it on time even if some slips or receipts are missing."
If an amount withdrawn from RESP is from contributions, no T4A is issued and there is no income to be reported. If an amount is withdrawn from the government assistance portion, it will generate a T4A. Since your daughter did not receive a T4A, it appears the withdrawal was from contributions, in which case there is nothing to report for tax.
