I've had no luck with them. You?
seems they could just remove the Calc/field tag and that's it.
I overrode the amount and efiled. No mention of carryforwards re FHSA to 2024
For proof:
remove the "X" at the top of SCH15
run the review process
thanks for your time
We appreciate your feedback, we have the team verifying this.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
lINE 20, SCHEDULE 15 NEEDS TO BE INPUT, NOT CALCULATED.
It is at discretion of taxpayer if they want to deduct the full FHSA contribution available for deduction
In order to help you with this situation, we believe your best option is to contact our telephone support team for further assistance, as they have the option to view your screen to help resolve the issue. To contact them, please follow this link: Contact Us. When asked if you want an email say NO and say "speak to a representative" then stay on the line.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
Hello,
I spoke to a representative, who viewed my screen. She was unable to resolve my issue because it is a coding error. Line 20 needs to be updated to allow data to be inputted. It is a coding issue, that for some reason TurboTax is refusing to acknowledge or update.
Schedule 15 - FHSA Contributions, Transfers and Activities
Line 20 - Needs to be updated to be an INPUT field (currently being calculated erroneously)
The FHSA is the same as an RRSP, contributors have the option of deferring the contribution deduction to future years. The code already exists, why is the tech team refusing to update the code? This was flagged as an issue in January. Please escalate this issue to someone in the coding department who can resolve this issue.
Thank you!
@JBBlair1 Our development team has already been told about this issue. Unfortunately, we have not been given an ETA as to when the needed changes will be made, but, since overriding the line doesn't prevent you from NETFILEing your return, you don't need to wait to file.
I was able to override that field and use Netfile. I just received my NOA so no problems.
Thx.
the online version does not allow me to enter FHSA. I open account in 2023, $8000.00. Turbo tax says max FHSA deduction available is $0.0 ?? I'm not happy. I've used turbo tax for years
@GTurk Have you already entered your T4FHSA slip?
How do I defer claiming the FHSA contributions? The field is showing as an "override"? Will this be fixed soon?
