Hello, I have gone through a basic tax return on the free option of turbotax, I have absolutely zero claims to be made, I used autofill and whatever is on my T4s is exactly what is input and nothing more and nothing less. However when I get to the end it wont let me continue cause it claims I have "charitable Donations" on my claim and need to upgrade to the deluxe edition to continue......There is most definitely an error because I claimed absolutely zero Charitable donations. I feel this is just a money grab for nothing
Do you have anything on box 46 of your T4? That counts as a donation.
Also, if you had unused donations from previous years, that could have transferred into your return using Auto-Fill or by transferring your TurboTax info from last year.
