This also took me hours.  When you're clicking on box 52 in the T3 slips screen, the popup shows 2 boxes. Total capital gaines (Box 52) and Foreign cap. gains (incl. in Box 52).  Fill in both boxes with the same amount. Turbotax want you to enter box 52 twice.🙄

RRSP contributions made through the remainder of 2024 and the first 60 days of 2025, as well as "Unused RRSP contributions previously reported and available to deduct" will deduct on line 20800 provided the available RRSP deduction limit equals or exceeds the total contributions. Unused RRSP contributions are reported on the line 1 of the schedule 7.  This amount will carryforward within your Turbotax application, or it will download from the CRA when using the "Autofill my return" feature.  The entry made on line (ii) will continue to carryforward this unused RRSP contribution.
when I correct my mistake it says I owe more to the CRA

Turbotax was calculating an amount for the Canada Worker's Benefit (CWB), which is a refundable tax credit available to lower income workers.  However, you cannot claim the CWB if you were enrolled as a full-time student at a designated educational institution for a total of more than 13 weeks in the year, unless you had an eligible dependant at the end of the year.  As a result, once you entered your tuition receipt, Turbotax automatically removed this claim, lowering the refund.

I simply used a different tax program and had no issues and it went through right away first try. That saved sooo much frustration.  Slamdunk13.

Input the amounts in Box 52 and 53 in the second boxes 52 and 53 on the system - NOT the foreign income boxes. Your errors will disappear and you will be able to netfile.

We are sorry to hear your experience with phone support wasn't a great experience.   Unfortunately, you can't import your previous taxes year's data from TurboTax Online to TurboTax Desktop. TurboTax Online can't export anything other than a PDF file, and TurboTax Desktop can't open PDF files. Only .ttxx files.   While they look similar, the US & Canada software are not the same, which is why they have different features. Here in Canada, we use software developed in here, not the US. Also, our online software is based off of Intuit Profile, while TurboTax Desktop is its own program that has been around for 30 or so years. They are not the same under the hood. Once again, we apologize for this misadventure. User's feedback is always appreciated, and rest assured that your comments was shared on to the relevant teams.   Thank you,
@StephenT As mentioned previously, TurboTax doesn't do the conversions for a T5. If your CRA MyAccount doesn't show the amounts as CAD, then TurboTax won't change them.

@YOW18 Are you using a Windows OS? You have installed the desktop version on how many devices or how many times?
