I have used the program for over 30 years and done hundreds of returns as a volunteer.
I bought the Premier edition from Costco Calgary. When I entered my licence code it gave me an error message indicating the code was invalid. However, it then allowed me to import last years data and start the 2024 return. When I try to start a second return it is requiring me to buy an online package. The premier edition covers 12 returns (tho customer service thought it only covered 5). I cant import the data for a second return as the Tool Box menu which should be on the left hand side doesn't appear.
Was on the line with customer service for an hour but she had no ideas what so ever. Sent me a link to help which won't open. (I had already checked it out in any event.) Her supervisor had no idea either. Cant transfer me to technical support as "it isn't a technical issue".
The only advice I was given, repeatedly, was to pay TurboTax to complete the returns for me!
Any ideas??
@mlp37 Did you call the US support team by accident? It sounds like they were giving you instructions for the US version - we don't have Tools or a Tool Box menu in the Canadian version of TurboTax. You can contact the Canadian phone support team at 1-888-829-8608.
During tax season (from CRA NETFILE opening (mid-February) to the regular filing deadline (April 30), we're available 7 days a week during these hours:

Also, please make sure that you have purchased the right product. The codes for TurboTax Premier Online will not work with TurboTax Premier Desktop & vice-versa.

I'm having the same error. My dad bought the turbotax standard version from Walmart in North Battleford, which allows more returns on it and he gave me the code to set up on my computer. I log into my account and enter in the code that he provided to me and I keep getting either error message 608 or error message 603. I followed the instructions and getting the same result, Im getting incredibly frustrated, because I want to be able to do my tax when my T4 is released and I'm not even able to get the program onto my computer for this.
