Name not long enough

Hello,

I'm using TurboTax desktop Canada in Quebec province.

IMPOTNET Quebec only accept declaration with exact first name.

My first name has 3 names, and added together with the space in between each name, they make 18 characters.

When changing the name in TurboTax, it only allows 17 characters for the first name, not more, so I am getting error messages from IMPOTNET QC because there is a missing character. I tried changing my first name multiple times with different names, and always error messages, because in the end, it doesn't match the one from Revenu Quebec database.

Can you please fix this to allow TurboTax for longer first name ?

I already did before posting this, even doing the screen sharing, only for her to say she couldn't do anything about it and ask Revenu Québec. 

Which is a shame because the problem lies in turbotax. You can replicate the same problem by creating a new profile and in the Prénom (sorry I have the French version), just type in any name longer than 17 characters and it won't let you.

Unfortunately, there is no way to increase the amount of characters that TurboTax Desktop will accept in the first name field.

If you don't want to mail in your Quebec return, you can contact Revenu Québec and see if you can adjust your name in their files - maybe move part of your first name into the middle name section? 

FYI: TurboTax Online allows 30 characters for the first name.
