FHSA Year FHSA Opened

Helping our son and his wife prepare their 2025 returns and noticed a warning for FHSA. For our son, it prompted me to enter the year that he opened his FHSA and a data box was there to enter the date. For our daughter-in-law, same warning, but when I click on the warning it takes me to the same field that I used for my son. Under her name on the FHSA Deduction page, there is no box there to enter the year her plan was opened. Anyone else having this issue?

Further info - I went to the actual form section and specifically went to Schedule 15. I was able to add in the year the plan was opened for her, but when I go back to Easystep, the year still doesn't display, even though I populated it. Thinking there is a glitch in the Easystep process.

No, I was able to file with no issues. Just very confusing as to why that data box was not there. I'm sure I'm not the only one, so thanks for looking into that.

Hi, I'm getting the same error: "Enter the year you opened your first FHSA or became a successor holder, and ensure any prior year indications of status are accurate."
On the FHSA page in EasyStep, I entered the year I opened my first FHSA. I also checked in Forms view under Section 15, Step 1, and the box for “If Yes, indicate the year you opened your first FHSA/became a successor holder” is filled in with the correct year.
I've also tried using Forms view in the TurboTax Standard Desktop app to clear Schedule 15. I'm currently running version 00.01.61, build 6002 068G22. I'm not sure if deleting the form would help, and if so, I'm not sure how to do this.
However, when I try to file using NETFILE, I still get the error message, and it prevents me from filing until I fix it. Thank you for any help you can provide.

@TurboTaxStdUser The question "Did you open your first FHSA or became a successor holder in 2025 or a previous year" is asking two things:

• Did you open your first FHSA in 2025?
• Did you become a successor holder in 2025 or a previous year?

So, if you opened up your FHSA in 2024, and you didn't inherit it from a deceased spouse/partner, you would answer NO to that question, and leave the rest of Section 1 of Schedule 15 blank.

That question is far from being worded clearly, in my opinion. In fact, I didn't interpret it that way at all. I read it as "Did you open your first FHSA or became a successor holder in 2025 or a previous year?", meaning did you open a FHSA in 2025 or a previous year, which applied in my case. If it is truly two questions as you suggest, it should read "Did you open your first FHSA in 2025 or became a successor holder in 2025 or a previous year".
