I have the same issue. From what I researched, CRA doesn't force the parent with the largest income to claim the DTC. I also want to apply the DTC to the parent who does not have the highest income, but I'm unable to. Is there a way to change this in future versions of TurboTax, as I can't use the software anymore because of this? It doesn't make sense why TurboTax should force it to be the person with the highest income. There is no workaround to this? thanks

I did taxes from my corporation for 2024 and paid the taxes ( all HST) back in December 31, 2024 logged in as Corporation to Canada CRA. Now its showing that I CRA did not received my taxes in April 2025 for 2024 so I need to do this again but when trying to do this, I don't know how to add my income without duplicating the HST charges as its already paid. How do I do my own taxes and declare that " income" is already paid in my other tax deduction as a corporation? because if I add that contractor income again they will bill me the hst again. Can you help? I am not sure how to do this since its my first year as contractor and I am already late with this taxes.

To start a new return, select “Start a New Return” from under “My Returns” in the bottom left corner. Once you have started your new return, you can select “View All Returns” from under “My Returns”. Then delete the unwanted return by clicking the small Trash Can next to it or “Delete” under the return’s name.
Please note that if you've already paid for your return, the payment doesn't transfer to the new return.

If you used TurboTax Desktop, Desktop only saves your return files to your computer, not on our servers. So, we don’t have a copy of your returns to give you.

Do you have more than one account? If so, the returns might be in another account.
Also note that TRA (Tax return access) services were only available for paid TurboTax Online returns (including those with PLUS features added) before 2019. So, if you didn't pay for your 2018 return, then it would not have been saved.
You can still get the information from your older tax returns via the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) using their My Account service, which you can login to here: My Account for Individuals

So no refund was offered as I purchased mine early and by the time I filed and showed proof of an error in the TurboTax product the min. refund period passed. So even though they did not fix the problem until May 19 2025, I am not going to be compensated for a less than stellar product.
