My tax refund

Hi community, I paid almost $150 for a tax expert to review my return (as it was the first time I was claiming a dependent), as well as the Audit Defense service.    The tax expert was negligent in his review, causing the CRA to start a review on my tax file; and the Audit Defense specialist made an already stressful situation unbearable by confusing and concerning me further, advising the only way I'd be successful is doing something that's NOT required by the CRA (claiming medical expenses, when my dependent had no medical issues). I then refused to work with the specialist any longer and successfully dealt with the CRA myself. I bought TurboTax services and NETFILEd in February and only realized TurboTax's poor service last month, when my CRA assessment was under review. How do I get a refund, when TurboTax only guarantees their service for only 60-days?   Turbotax makes it very difficult to reach an actual human regarding refunds.    Thank you.
I just got a new computer and need to re-install TurboTax for 2017 and 2020. I no longer have the purchase confirmation email. How do I get access to these two years programs?

It would depend. If you are considered self-employed (free-lancer), you might be able to claim some of these expenses. If you are an employee, you would only be able to claim expenses that you were required by your employer to pay for, and you would need a T2200 form your employer.

This conversation is taking way longer than it should have. I don't think you understood my problem so just to clarify, the problem is simply that I am setting up a new computer that I want to install TurboTax 2024 on, but I have lost the license code. It is the license code that I needed. Fortunately, miracle of miracles, I finally got somebody on the phone at TurboTax, and she solved the problem almost immediately. So to complete this discussion, and for the benefit of anyone else who has the same problem, I will explain the solution.  It turns out that if you know where to look (most people won't), in my case on my old computer, which has a running version of TurboTax 2024, there is a simple, but very obscure way to find ones license code. The sequence of menus is as follows: View > Summary > Return Counter Summary > Details. Why this information is hidden like this, as opposed to showing it showing it under Help > About TurboTax is a mystery.
I've opened up investigation INV-1400-8883-4519-4610-688 regarding this issue, and someone from the investigations team is looking into it.

When you open TurboTax Desktop 2024 does it ask you to login before asking you for the code? And are you using the same login info as you did when you first used the code?TurboTax Desktop 2024 requires you to login to use the software and if you have already used the code with that account, then you'll get an option to use it on the new installation - that is the most secure way of recovering your code.   If you've used the code on 3 different computers already, then that also might be a reason why you are being asked for a code, as you can only use the code on 3 PCs.    Or maybe you are accidentally opening an older version of TurboTax, not the one for tax year 2024?

@theqch The code can be used on 3 different computers in total. Removing the software from one computer doesn't reset the number of times the code has been used.

Yes, you can. You can login to TurboTax Canada Online 2023 here: https://ww1.2023.ca.turbotaxonline.intuit.com/   But if you already filed a return in 2023, you have to adjust that one rather than starting a new one. This TurboTax Canada FAQ tells you how you can use ReFile: I've filed my tax return. Can I still make changes?   You can also make the adjustment using the Canada Revenue Agency’s (CRA) My Account service or you can print & mail a T1-ADJ T1 Adjustment Request.
