Thanks for reply. Then I think that is a bug in EasyStep Navigator, because I can not leave the field empty. So I have to modify it directly in the Form mode to try your method. Anyway, I have sent my tax return by mail last week. Hope this message can help others in the community.
You will have to wait until your 2023 tax return is assessed and you get your NOA before you can NETFILE your 2024. The same thing is true if you want to open a CRA My Account.
Hi, di you have any updates?  mine is showing the same! It has never ever happen before.
@marghoust    Please contact our phone support team as they will be able to assist you further.
@fy852 Did you get both retirement & disability benefits for the whole year? Are you in Quebec?
Please make sure you are logged into the same TurboTax Online account you used to prepare your 2023 returns.

In TurboTax Online, if you are preparing your returns together, click on your spouse's name at the top of the page. Then click on Tax Profile, then Your Tax Profile. Click Continue until you get to the "SPOUSE, let's see if there's anything else to add" page. There you can uncheck the option for "Canada Caregiver Amount - I'm dependant on NAME due to an impairment".   If you are preparing your return separately, click on 2024 tax Return at the top left of the page. Then click on Tax Profile, then Additional Information About Your Spouse. Click Continue until you get to the "Tell us more about SPOUSE" page. There you can uncheck the option for "Canada Caregiver Amount: Is Jojo dependent on you because of a mental or physical impairment?".

Hello, thank you so very much for your assistance and help and so very sorry for the late response!   For some reason TurboTax won't let me post questions directly in TurboTax community. The only way to do it is throught TurboTax online where I do my taxes. Do you (or does anybody) know if this is normal? Thank you once again!
@Crewster What is the exact error message that you are getting?
@A652211A If you are seeing "CRA Result Code: 15 - Your account is locked."  you'll need to contact the CRA to unlock your NETFILE account.

@DouglasM Even though the new capital gains rate has been canceled, the second period is still part of the official CRA forms and slips, so can't be removed.   If you originally entered your capital gains amount only in box 21, then the amounts were not going to Schedule 3, which where the T1 gets the info from. So, nothing on Schedule 3 = nothing on T1 = T3 income not included in your tax calculations. Once you put the amount in Box 52 and/or Box 53, then your T3 gets added to your income. Both Box 52 & Box 53 use the old 50% capital gains rate, as does the T5008.   If you bought TurboTax from a 3rd party retailer (Costco, Staples, etc...) you can request a refund from this page: https://turbotax.community.intuit.ca/turbotax-support/en-ca/help-article/taxation/get-refund-turbotax-product/L0GFPCPaC_CA_en_CA

Please search for "Election to stop or resume CPP contributions" on the Tax Home page. Uncheck any boxes that are there and click "Continue" to save your changes. Then go through the review again. The Election on CPT30 stays in effect until you turn 70 years of age or until you revoke the election, so it’s not needed on your return unless you want to revoke your prior election.

@CholoBusterYBHU First, please make sure that you have purchased the right product. The codes for TurboTax Online will not work with TurboTax Desktop & vice-versa.   Second, if you bought TurboTax at a retailer (Costco, Walmart, Staples, etc…), please make sure that you are using the code that came in the package. It may be on a slip of paper or on a scratch-off card. It is not on the outside of the box or on your receipt.   If you have bought TurboTax Online, please go to turbotax.ca/activate to use your code before you start your returns. You can see this TurboTax FAQ for step-by-step instructions: In TurboTax Online, how do I use a prepayment code? Please note that you can only use the code once in one account. Using the code again will give an error message.   If you have bought TurboTax Desktop, you will be asked for the licence code when you install the software. Please see this TurboTax FAQ for more information on the licence code: Where is my TurboTax licence code? You can download the current version of TurboTax Desktop edition here: Choose the current TurboTax Desktop edition you need (for Windows).
