The CRA will communicate with taxpayers or their representatives within 30 days after they receive the information they requested.

@evv2415  The mailing address at the start of the tax return is the contact address that the CRA should use if they need to contact you by mail. You don't actually have to live there.   You can go back to the self-employment section and edit your business. As you continue through, you'll get back to the question where it asks if you use your home address for your work. You can change that to "no" and then you'll get a spot to enter an address. You can put your home address here, if it's different from the contact address that you entered at the start. You can still claim home office expenses even if you use a PO box (or some other arrangement) for a mailing address instead of your home address.       
We would recommend talking to someone who is knowledgeable in cross border taxes to get advice on this matter. You can also take a look at the USA/Canada Tax Treaty.

Yes, the CRA will refund you any income tax overpayment, as long as you don't owe them money elsewhere ( GST/HST, benefits overpayments, amounts owing for prior years).

To enter your T5007 in TurboTax Online, search for “T5007” on the Tax Home page (2024 tax return on the left), and select it from the list.    If you are preparing your returns together and are using TurboTax Online 2024, you can switch between spouses by clicking on the names at the top of the page.
