If you are using TurboTax Online, you can search for "Investment Expenses" on the Tax Home page (2024 tax return on the left). Continue to the 2nd page to enter expenses that are not interest.   If you are using TurboTax Desktop in EasyStep mode, you can search for "Carrying charges" using the Find tool.    If you are using TurboTax Desktop in Forms mode, you can search for " t1ws" by clicking on the Forms icon in the blue icon bar. Then you can enter your fees at the top of page 2, under “Line 22100 – Carrying charges, interest expenses, and other expenses”  

You can download the current version of TurboTax Desktop edition here: Choose the current TurboTax Desktop edition you need (for Windows).   TurboTax for 2025 won't be available until mid-December.  

Did you get a NETFILE confirmation code? If you don't have a confirmation code, you still need to submit your tax return using NETFILE. Not sure how? Follow these instructions for TurboTax Online or TurboTax Desktop.  

If you are using TurboTax Live Assist & Review, you can login to TurboTax using any computer with a modern web browser. You can also use the app for iOS or Android as well. So, if you have another computer or a cellphone that you can use (or borrow), you can request a call that way.  

You can't open TurboTax Desktop in the same tax year in TurboTax Online. You can only transfer from last year's TurboTax Desktop into a new TurboTax Online return for the current year.   While we don't support TurboTax Desktop on Macs, some users have been able to install the software onto their Macs using VM software or even installing Windows as a second OS on their computers.    

If you bought TurboTax at a retailer (Costco, Walmart, Staples, etc…), please make sure that you are using the code that came in the package. It may be on a slip of paper or on a scratch-off card. It is not on the outside of the box or on your receipt.   With TurboTax Business Incorporated, you will be asked for the licence code when you install the software. I have the same issue.  I am a MAC user and I hate turbotax online.  This year I borrowed a Windows PC to install Turbotax desktop and have now returned it.  I need to open a couple of tt24 files where I ran different tax scenarios and I have no way to do this.  Can I open a tt24 file using the online version?  If this issue isn't addressed for MAC users I will be looking someone else in the future.  I'm not willing to buy a windows PC for the sole purpose of doing taxes once per year.
