The codes for the TurboTax App/Online will not work with TurboTax Desktop & vice-versa.   With TurboTax Desktop, you will be asked for the licence code when you install the software. You would enter the total expense for the amount of time during the year that you were working from home, so if you worked at home for the full year, then you would enter the total expense for the full year.   You would put the amounts in the box that corresponds with what sales tax you paid on the expense. For example, if you live in Alberta, then you would be charged GST on your internet bill, so you would put that expense in the GST column.

@Williamjohnfitzpatrick If the CRA has unlocked your NETFILE/ReFile account but it's still showing as locked, please try using another browser to ReFile your return. Alternative, you can try using the TurboTax Mobile app - use your same login info to see your TurboTax Online returns. Please note that if you see the locked message, that means that there is an error somewhere is the return, or that you are trying to RefIle something that can't be adjusted through ReFile, and you've tried too many time to send it. Please make sure to review your return before trying again.    You also don't need to ReFile a spouse's return if nothing has changed for them.   As for any T1-ADJ T1 Adjustment Requests sent by mail, The CRA is experiencing delays in processing T1 adjustment requests. Depending on what you changed, it could take some time before your request is processed by them.

If you didn't get a NETFILE confirmation code when you submitted your return, then your return wasn't successfully filled. Follow these instructions for TurboTax Online or TurboTax Desktop to NETFILE your return.    NETFILE is a free service from the CRA. Any payment you made was to use TurboTax, and as long as you don't upgrade or add TurboTax services to your return, then you won't need to pay again.
I am 80% work form home and salaried based, do I enter the amounts under GST/HST taxable or Zero rated? Thanks

Error message:CRA Result Code 615.  Your account is locked.  I have been trying to refile my 2024 return since April and I’m still getting the 615 error code : I have had 5 attempts to NETFILE which  failed.   I called the CRA whose advice is to have the cache browser history cleared which I’ve done and tried to refile through NETFILE again. All attempts have failed.     I have mailed my amended return to the CRA with a cheque of a balance owing but the CRA account does not show my amended return. Can TurboTax help?
Thanks!  These were all things I’ve done in the very first instance … we are well beyond that now.  I will log yet another complaint via phone.

@lahalahalhahhh There is no one formula for Line 23200 - it's just a total of all the deductions that don't have any other specific place to go to are put. If you look at the Other Deductions page, that has a lot of stuff that would go to Line 23200.    If there’s nothing there, look at the CRA page, see what is likely to apply to you, and then go to that page in TurboTax. If you are using TurboTax Online, click on the Tax Home page (2024 tax return on the left) to find whatever page you need to look at. You can either click on the links on the page or use the search bar at the top.   You can also get PDF archive of your return that will show you the actual forms & schedules that make up your return.     If you need more help with this issue, please contact our phone support team.

Exactly, Susan!  So since I didn’t directly enter the figure … and the exact same figure does not appear on a previous years’ return … how do I find out what the autofill formula is that is producing that figure?  It’s clearly coming from the formula CRA had Intuit enter into the source code of the program and is then drawing figures directly from CRA data tables by API.   How do I get that what CRA data is being drawn and what the exact formula is?

@lahalahalhahhh Every amount that TurboTax generates is based off of what's entered on the tax return, unless the number is something specified from the CRA (ex: in a formula). There are 3 ways that information can be entered into a return: Direct entry from the user, CRA Auto-Fill or transfer of info from the previous year's return. So, yes, it's possible for TurboTax to calculate something based on something that you didn't manually enter, but it would still be using information that you allowed the program to import.
