my income tax return is on hold, possibly due to this issue. I can't seem to figure out how to file for the business, and I will be closing it after this is sorted out.

trying to open my personal returns that are completed but had a balance due and had no money to pay,  so opted to have them take GST and carbon tax for the year.  now we have enough to cover the balance due.  so want to file 2023 and then file 2024  but I cant even open 2023 to see if i need to purchase more licenses.  I was sure I had 2 left for my husband and I's return

I have never used any other Intuit product other than Turbo Tax and haven’t used it since 2020. I have been charged  $105 . I want a refund.

Do you have RPP contributions reported on a T4 (box 20, 74, and/or 75) or T4A (box 032)? Those would count for RRSP contributions.

No. Generally, you can't deduct your life insurance premiums, unless you use your life insurance policy as collateral for a loan related to your business.    Disability insurance premiums are not tax deductible. They may even be taxable if they were a benefit provided by your employer.

@jdleaver If you are outside of Quebec, you need to click on Tax Profile on the Tax Home page (click on 2024 Tax Returns on the top left to go to the home page), then click on Your Tax Profile. There you need to check off the RL-1. Click Continue to save and then go back to 2024 Tax Returns > Income >T4. Now you'll see a Box E at the bottom of the T4 page, which is what you need to enter from your RL-1.
